WordPress is one of the most powerful Content Management Systems on the web currently. All of the websites that we create are powered by this amazing back-end system. 10 years ago, pretty much every site was built with straight with HTML and CSS. Even though those are still essentials of websites, a CMS puts control of content changes and generations in their hands. The biggest complaint that I hear from web clients is monthly support contracts that are over priced and irrelevant. When we use WordPress to power our clients sites, things like blogging and small changes are all easily done by the client. This saves them money and it saves us time to continue to work on new projects that need our attention.
For anyone thinking of getting into web design, we would strongly suggest becoming a WordPress expert. The learning curve is not easy to overcome, but it is sure to pay off once you get through it. To help everyone out we have decided to develop an in-depth tutorial on how WordPress works, as well as how to convert current HTML sites to WordPress. With a basic knowledge of .php, (or none to be honest) you will be able to turn you site into a WordPress one in no time, or we can do it for you :). We are hoping to have this out on our blog in the next few weeks so stay tuned.
